Ingredients

Scale

Creating these delicious bars requires a few simple ingredients, most of which you may already have in your pantry. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 tbsp creamy peanut butter (plus 1/4 cup)
  • 1 container marshmallow fluff (7 oz)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsalted roasted peanuts
  • 1 bag caramel squares (11 oz, unwrapped)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

With these ingredients, you’re all set to create a batch of irresistible Snickers bars right in your own kitchen.

Instructions

Making homemade Snickers bars is a straightforward process. Just follow these steps, and you’ll have a sweet treat ready in no time:

  1. Prepare Dish: Line a 9×13″ baking dish with parchment paper. This will make removing the bars easier once they’re set.
  2. Melt Chocolate: In a double boiler, melt 1 cup of chocolate chips with 3 tbsp of peanut butter until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom. Freeze for 10 minutes to set the chocolate layer.
  3. Make Nougat: In a mixing bowl, combine marshmallow fluff, 1/4 cup of peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Mix until well combined. Spread the nougat mixture over the chilled chocolate layer using a spatula.
  4. Add Peanuts: Sprinkle the unsalted roasted peanuts over the nougat layer, pressing them down gently to ensure they adhere to the nougat.
  5. Melt Caramel: In the double boiler, melt the caramel squares with the heavy cream until completely smooth. Pour the melted caramel over the nougat and peanut layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  6. Chill Again: Place the dish in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to allow the caramel to set.
  7. Final Chocolate Layer: Melt the remaining chocolate chips and 3 tbsp of peanut butter in the double boiler. Pour this over the caramel layer, spreading it evenly. Chill until the chocolate is set.
  8. Slice: Once set, use a sharp knife to cut the bars into squares. Enjoy your homemade Snickers bars!
