To create this delectable Croissant Breakfast Sandwich, you’ll need:
- 12 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 6 croissants, halved
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 6 slices of turkey or chicken deli meat
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Follow these steps to create the perfect Croissant Breakfast Sandwich:
- Prepare the Egg Mixture
- Whisk the 12 large eggs in a large bowl until they’re mixed and frothy.
- Add in the 1/2 cup of whole milk, 1 tsp of kosher salt, and 1/4 tsp of black pepper. Mix until the ingredients are well combined.
- Cook the Scrambled Eggs
- Melt 1 tbsp of unsalted butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet.
- Allow the eggs to sit for about 2 minutes until the edges start to set.
- Stir gently every 30 seconds until the eggs are almost set, which should take about 6-8 minutes. Then remove them from the heat.
- Assemble the Sandwiches
- Spread 2 tbsp of Dijon mustard evenly on the bottom halves of the 6 croissants.
- Place a slice of turkey or chicken deli meat on top of the mustard.
- Add 1/2 cup of the scrambled eggs on top of the meat.
- Sprinkle 1/4 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the eggs.
- Complete the sandwich by placing the top half of the croissant on each.
- Bake the Sandwiches
- For immediate serving, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake them for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are warm throughout.
